Seneca Nation & City of Salamanca Officials Collaborate with Surveillance Cameras

Seneca Nation President Rickey L. Armstrong, along with Councillors Becker, Bova, Jimerson, and Waterman; Acting Chief Marshal Art Ludwick, and the Seneca Nation Law Enforcement Commission gathered with Mayor Sandra Magiera, Police Chief Jamie Deck, and other representatives from the City of Salamanca on Thursday morning in order to exchange seven cloud based, remotely accessible video surveillance cameras.

Purchased by the Seneca Nation and gifted to the City as part of ongoing collaborative safety endeavors across the territories by the newly strengthened Law Enforcement Commission, ‘these combined efforts have led to stopping and preventing crimes throughout the territory. Protecting the Seneca people and our communities remains at the top of our priority list,’ said Rickey L. Armstrong, Sr., Seneca Nation President.

The newest cameras will be placed along the Pennsy Trails to supplement another seven cameras already in service and active. The Seneca Nation Marshals and the City of Salamanca Police Department will continue to monitor and access the state-of-the-art cameras remotely on a 24/7 basis.
