It’s that time of year – Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Alarm Installation

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Consumer Product Safety Commission have resources to help educate people about smoke/carbon monoxide safety.

Install smoke alarms on every level of the home, outside of sleeping area, and inside each bedroom.

Install carbon monoxide alarms on every level of the home, outside of sleeping areas and near attached garages. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for placement and mounting height.

Test smoke and carbon monoxide alarms monthly and replace the batteries . Replace carbon monoxide detectors every five to six years.
