Students were able to taste meaningful Indigenous foods during lunch earlier this month in observance of the start of Native American Heritage Month in November. High School students worked to prepare strawberry juice and fry bread from scratch. During lunches, students could choose the lunch option of Indian tacos – composed of fry bread, meat, cheese and lettuce.
We are excited to honor Native American culture and heritage throughout the month of November and throughout the year at SCCS!
