at Fashion Art Toronto / 1664 Fashion Week
While we’re still talking about incredible Indigenous Fashion during Native American Heritage Month and we’re buzzing from the show at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino; we want to let you in on an exciting little secret. This week, Seneca Fashion models Chanel Gomez, Gaya:ya’s (she goes across the water) of the Snipe clan and Charli Rae Hill, Ganöndi:ye’s (mountains will part ways for her) of the Wolf clan will walk in the Fashion Art Toronto show as part of THE RED COLLECTION SS2025 by Designer and Creative Director LindsayKing.
This empowering collection aims to artistically and actively raise public awareness about the ongoing continental crisis of Missing, Murdered, and Exploited Indigenous Peoples #MMEIP. With over 20 years of experience in Indigenous social work, Lindsay designed this tribute collection in honor of and with the gracious guidance of survivors, families, Elders and artists.
Featuring Pantone’s 2002 Color of the Year – True Red 19-1664 – along with luxury textiles, expert tailoring, and couture hand-sewn details, The Red Collection offers statement-making event and evening wear pieces.
Fashion Arts Toronto / 1664 Fashion Week started November 14th.
Chanel will carry on to the Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week / Red Dress Event on November 20th at 7pm PST.
