Thank you to everyone that came out this past Wednesday to the inaugural Harvest Luncheon.

The event was a collaboration with the Ohi:yo’ Men’s and Women’s Ceremonial, Deadiwënöhsnye’s Gëjohgwa’ – Seneca Immersion Program, and the Onöhsagwë: de’ Cultural Center. The Ceremonial group prepared a community soup, and the Immersion program cooked squash, moose, deer, and mush over the fire.

In addition, Andrea Cooke showed everyone the nixtamalization process for white corn, Billy Abrams taught deer processing, and Moe Watt taught how to make corn wheels.

There were visitors from the S.A.L.C., Salamanca City Central School District’s Warrior Academy, Ellicottville’s Big Picture Program, Falconer Schools, and many others.
