Mark Powless retires from Environmental Protection Department after 18 yrs of service

On Wednesday, November 20, colleagues gathered at the Seneca Allegany Administration Building Grand Hall to celebrate the retirement of Mark Powless, who has over 31 years of dedicated service to the Seneca Nation.

Mark retired from the Seneca Nation Environmental Protection Department after 18 years. In his time there, Mark has done great things for the Seneca Nation and its people, including establishing a good working relationship with the federal government, countless meetings with the EPA Region 2, and leading as the manager of The Brownfield Program, protecting our people’s land for future generations.
