On September 28th, 2024, Councillors Tina Abrams, Jeff Gill, and Odie Brant Porter attended a campaign event at the Curtiss Hotel in Buffalo hosted by U.S. Congressman Tim Kennedy (N.Y. 26th District), with special guest U.S. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Recently, Congressman Kennedy sent a package to the Council Office that included a photograph from the event and a Congressional medallion (pictured).
Over the years, the Nation has developed a close and productive relationship with Congressman Kennedy. From January 2011 to April 2024, he served as a N.Y. State Senator representing South Buffalo and numerous times he strongly advocated for positions important to the Nation. Nation leadership values our friendship with Congressman Kennedy and we look forward to his continued advocacy on behalf of the Nation during his tenure in the United States Congress.
