SENECA NATION HEALTH SYSTEM BOARD OF DIRECTORS
~ 1 Vacancy
Purpose:
The purpose of the Seneca Nation Health System Board (SNHSB) is to provide overall policy and direction for the Nation’s Health System. The Board is also established for the purpose of maintaining overall responsibility for the conduct of the Nation’s Health System consistent with its’ Charter and specific direction provided from the Nation’s Council.
Mission:
The Mission of the Board is to ensure that the SNHS provides a comprehensive range of public health services that address the holistic wellness of Seneca people and ensures the health and wellness of the next seven generations of Seneca people.
Qualifications of Commissioners:
- Each Board member may or may not be an enrolled member of the Nation;
- Board members shall be at least 25 years of age;
- Board members shall have relevant experience, knowledge and/or education in the health care operations/systems, health care delivery, or public health practice that will enable them to effectively serve in their role;
- Board members shall have passed a background check by the Nation’s Human Resource Department.
- CATTARAUGUS member must be an active user of the SNHS
- The following persons are not eligible to serve on the SNHB;
- Employees of the SNHS;
- Owners or employees of contractors providing goods or services to the SNHS (medical or otherwise);
- Persons directly related to any of the above;
- Persons convicted of a crime of moral turpitude, including but not limited to embezzlement, theft or fraud;
- Board Members shall be considered “Public Officials” for purposes of the Nation’s Ethics Law.

ALLEGANY RIVER DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION (ARDC)
~ Four (4) Vacancies
Purpose:
The purpose of the ARDC is to establish a formal mechanism for coordination and implementation of joint planning activities between the Seneca Nation and the City of Salamanca with respect to (i) developing a joint long-range economic development strategy; (ii) identifying municipal service needs and capital improvements, including funding mechanisms for each; and (iii) conducting projects approved by the Nation and the City Council which will help to generate job growth; retain existing jobs; and stimulate commercial, industrial, and residential growth in the greater Allegany Territory including the City of Salamanca.
Qualifications:
Must reside, work or own/operate a business within the Nation’s Allegany Territory.
