The Iroquois Indian Concert and Marching Band was invited to perform the national anthem and for their half-time show during the Albany Firewolves lacrosse game Saturday, February 15th. The Firewolves celebrated their Native American Heritage night. Twenty-seven band, honor guard, and color guard members represented the Tuscarora, Tonawanda, and Cattaraugus territories that evening.
The band has been active since 1991 and is always open to new members ages 13+ and of Iroquois descent. Past performances include the Calgary Stampede, Washington DC, Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and New York State and Erie County fairs. For more information, call (585) 356-7106.
