Ja:göh to our Faithkeeper’s Students You Truly Make a Difference!
Let’s take some time to recognize and appreciate all who helped with this food drive!!! On April 2nd, Kimberly Pierce from FaithKeepers School in Steamburg dropped off food to all 3 of the little food pantries in Salamanca.
For 1 month they collected non-perishables. Children who attend the school brought in donations. They were given bags to take home, which they could add their donations to, and bring back. All of the children brought what they could, as many times as they were able. Each and every single thing donated really, really matters!!!
Every child was enthusiastic about giving to others in need. FaithKeepers also set up boxes in various other establishments, where people could place non-perishables inside. Thank you to the Seneca Nation’s Clerk’s office, the Seneca Nation clinic, the Allegany Community Center, Goodies, OJ’s Smoke Shop and Save A-lot for putting boxes within your establishments so donations could be collected.
Nya:wëh swagwegöh! This food drive was successful due to the support of our community. We’d like to express our gratitude to the SNI Officials & Department Directors that allowed their departments to serve as designated drop off locations, local businesses that provided space in their store, as well as offered discounts on store merchandise for donations. Last, but not least, we’d like to thank everyone who made food donations. Your generosity is felt by so many.
