The 2025 Hatchery Season Has Wrapped Up With Great Success!

March 31, 2025 | Repost from Seneca Nation Conservation – Fish & Wildlife FB

This year we have 3.6 million walleye eggs. In which, 65% (2.34 million) of them will hatch. Once released 234,000 are expected to reach adulthood.

The eggs will take between 21 – 27 days to hatch, at that point the fry are released into the Christmas tree habitat we place over the winter.
