Call For Presenters!!!
Are you a language instructor who works in a language nest, pre-k, or K-12? Are you a language instructor who teaches community classes, on line classes, university classes, or full fledged adult language programs? Do you use useful teaching methodologies and techniques that would be beneficial to other programs looking to diversify their instruction? Are you a curriculum developer or technology/media specialist wanting to demonstrate skills that can enhance existing language programs? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we are currently accepting abstracts for the upcoming Third Annual Hodinöhšö:ni:h Language Conference.
- Presentations should be interactive and engaging to your audience.
- Presentations should have good take-aways for conference attendees to borrow ideas and try them in their own classroom and communities.
- Presentations should get audience volunteers trying and speaking the target language.
- Presentations should get audience volunteers moving, drawing, acting, and/or crafting. Presentations should not be strictly informational, nor read or presented strictly from the podium.
- Show us what you do, and how you do it (morning routines, games, puzzles, ice breakers, content creation)
- Demos can include videos, online polls/responses, lessons, competitions, etc. Abstracts open to teachers from ALL Hodinöhšö:ni:h languages.
Please send your abstracts to onondowaga22@gmail.com for consideration. Abstracts should include topic title, name, nation, a short synopsis on what you will be presenting and how you will be presenting, along with a mini bio on the language work you do.
The deadline for submissions is Thursday, May 14th at 5pm.
Registration page to be posted soon. This is a fun conference and continues to grow. Free breakfast and lunch, social, tons of door prizes, swag bags, and networking with passionate people who all want our languages to grow and flourish. Ja:goh!
