On being named The Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Freshman Avery Doran of the No. 17 Brown women’s lacrosse team was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday, April 15th.
This is Doran’s first individual Ivy League honor and she is the third Bear to earn Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week this season.
In two wins last week, Doran had 13 points as she had a team-high six points at Bryant (Apr. 8). The Wilton, Conn. native then matched a career-high with seven points in Brown’s 13-12 win at Dartmouth (Apr. 12), Doran also had a career-high four goals in the win.
Appeared in all 17 games, scored 23 goals while dishing out 24 assists. Was named the No. 19 Impact Freshman by IL Women. Recorded five or more points in a six-game stretch from Mar. 22 to Apr. 12. Tallied seven or more points on two separate occasions. Found the back of the net a career-high four times at Dartmouth (Apr. 12).
