Ja:göh Winter Rivera, Onöndowa’ga, Hotáyöni:h, Ganöndase’ community of the Cattaraugus Territory, recorded his 400th Point milestone for the Gowanda Boys Lacrosse team on May 9, 2025.
On May 20th Gowanda took on Depew in the first round of playoffs. Gowanda dominated at the X all night and was able to control the game. Congratulations to Winter Rivera for beating not 1 but 2 State records tonight, most points in a single game and most goals in a single game! Winter goes on to rewrite a record that has stood since 1961 with his 22 points in a single game. He also surpasses fellow Gowanda Alumni Chase Scanlans’ record for most goals in a game.
