Theme: Water is Life, Food is Medicine
Representatives of the The Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) came together from across the region to Seneca Nation Territory — some meeting for the first time in person after years of virtual collaboration.
Over five impactful days, we:
- Shared the experiences of our food distribution programs
- Spoke about challenges with food distributors
- Welcomed new and familiar faces
- Attended various trainings
- Gave a full tour of our Nation’s store concept and building
- Enjoyed meals and corn soup provided by the President’s Office
There were stories, laughter, hard conversations, and real connection. The energy was positive, and the message was clear:
Water sustains us. Food heals us. Community strengthens us.
Nya:wëh to everyone who made this gathering a memorable event. In 2026, the Seneca Nation will be hosting the National FDPIR conference in Niagara Falls.
