Protecting Sovereignty, Honoring the Trust

This powerful event featuring Dallin Maybee, JD (Seneca/Arapaho) a nationally respected Native American legal expert specializing in tribal sovereignty, treaty law, and the federal trust responsibility (www.narf.org) along with Chair of the Roswell Park, Department of Indigenous Cancer Health, Rodney Haring, PhD, who contributed to the conversation and dialogue was held Friday, August 1st. Maybee and Haring spoke on legal foundations that uphold our Nations’ rights — from the sacred promises of treaties to the federal government’s trust obligation to protect tribal lands, resources, self-governance, health, and Nation-to-Nation commitments for future generations.
