Winners chosen in month-long public vote!
Niagara Falls, NY: (December 11, 2025) – The results are in and Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino is ending 2025 with a prestigious national honor.
The region’s premier gaming and entertainment resort destination was selected as a winner in the Newsweek Readers’ Choice Awards in the “Best Native American Casino” category. The honor follows a month-long, nationwide public vote, which determined 10 overall winners from across the country. Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino was the only property within 450 miles of Western New York, and the only property located within New York, to be nominated.

Nationwide public voting for the “Best Native American Casino” award began in early November when Newsweek announced its list of 15 nominees. The nominations were editorially driven with contributions from a panel of travel experts and determined by Newsweek editors. Featured panelists for the “Best Native American Casino” award included: Julie Bielenberg, a Colorado-based travel writer; Marla Cimini, an award-winning writer and content creator based in New Jersey; Jacky Runice, a Chicago-based professional broadcast, print and online journalist with decades of experience; Aly Walansky, a food and travel journalist with over 20 years’ experience; and the Newsweek editors.
This is the latest accolade for Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. Earlier this year, the resort was again recognized as a finalist in the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for “Best Casino Outside of Las Vegas” and the Western Door Steakhouse was honored with the Award of Excellence in Wine Spectator’s 2025 Restaurant Awards.
