The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) is accepting applications for the Emergency HEAP benefit. This benefit will run from January 5 until April 7, 2026 or if the funding runs out, whichever comes first. If there happens to be additional funding, Emergency HEAP may extend beyond April 7.
Also, the Advocate Program is accepting applications for Electrical Shut-off Notices only and the HEAP Furnace replace/repair program. These programs will end on September 30, 2026 or if the funding runs out, whichever comes first.
You may pick up an application at the Tribal Advocates Office located on the Cattaraugus (716-532-4900) or Allegany (716-945-2655) Territories.
Documentation Requirements:

• Social Security Number
• Proof of Address
• Current Utility Bill
• Proof of Income
• Deed or Home Ownership (Furnace repair/replacement Only)
