Sunday Worship Service – 9 a.m.

February 18 was Ash Wednesday which is the beginning of the season of Lent. This is a time of events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus. He was crucified because the religious leaders of his time saw him as a threat to their power over people. He was a man of courage and love. Lent represents the 40 days that Jesus fasted before he was betrayed by one of his disciples. Many think that Lent means giving up something – sweets, certain foods, etc. – but Lent is also a time for making changes in your life. Instead of giving up something why not start something new? Volunteering, helping a shut in or elder, visiting someone in a nursing home or hospital, etc. This is a time to take care of others – and yourself.

Continue to pray for our communities – those who are grieving, those who are battling addiction, those who are victims of domestic violence or child abuse, and those who are coping with serious illness. Prayer is powerful!

Please feel free to join us at Four Corners on Sundays at 9 for word and song that will provide you with inspiration and guidance throughout the week. After our service we enjoy light refreshments and fellowship.
