It was a great time at the 3rd Annual Teen Social at the Allegany Community Center, held during Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month! Our Indigenous youth gathered for an evening filled with laughter, connection, and culture—supported by several Nation departments, collaborative agencies, local businesses, and community members.
Teens were entered into door prize drawings, enjoyed giveaways, including Free ribbon skirts/shirts, backpacks, delicious Indian Tacos, strawberry juice, and shortcake! Resource tables and fun activities sparked conversations and learning. Singing and social dancing brought everyone together, creating good energy and lasting memories.
Let us continue to empower our teens to build healthy self-esteem and relationships, and to foster a safe, supportive environment for all. Nya:wëh to the Human Services Division and everyone who made this event possible—your dedication uplifts our youth and strengthens our community!
