Silver Creek High School Includes Language and Culture Opportunities For Students

[Reposted from Silver Creek Central School District’s Facebook | 4/8/26]

Last week, High School Seneca Language students participated in a beading class, making pins for Mother’s Day. As part of a grant from the NYS Office of Bilingual Education and World Languages, we were able to welcome Sam and Mary Jacobs to walk the Seneca Language students through the steps of beading the pins. The grant also provided students with the opportunity to make moccasins and to take a snow snake field trip. Other Seneca language and cultural opportunities are planned for the rest of the school year.
