Public Notice from Seneca Nation Transfer Station

Please be advised that KITCHEN WASTE (any garbage containing food) is NOT accepted at the transfer station. This measure is in place to prevent the attraction of pests such as mice and rats, which can lead to health hazards and structural damage. We encourage residents to explore alternative disposal methods for kitchen waste. Composting is a highly effective option, transforming waste into nutrient-rich soil while reducing landfill contributions. Additionally, weekly curbside waste collection through the Nation’s contract with No Worries is available.

By properly managing kitchen waste, we can help mitigate pest issues and contribute positively to environmental sustainabiIity. Thank you for your cooperation. For more information, or if you have questions, please contact the Transfer Station at 716-682-0233. (This new facility will help protect our environment and manage waste responsibly.)
