On Tuesday, August 4th, the Seneca-Iroquois National Museum celebrated their 49th anniversary with a party on the back patio! It was a great turn out and we just want to take a moment to say Nya:wëh! Degwanö:nyöh swagwe:göh (Thank you , We’re appreciative to you all).
The last 49 years have been a wonderful age of growth, expansion and sharing. We started in a small 1 story building with only a few staff members and have grown significantly building the beautiful home we now have at the Onöhsagwë:de’ Cultural Center. We cannot be more proud. A special shout out goes to these women pictured below! Rebecca (Becky) Bowen Archives Mgr, left, and Johnna (Jonie) Crouse-Roselli, Collections Mgr /Conservator, right . Also check out the old museum building and the new building above! Becky started in November 2004! Jonie started in September 1999! Let’s show these ladies they are appreciated too! Show them some love!
Congrats to our door prize winners:
