Rory Wheeler Highlighted by Native American Pathway to Law Initiative

March 2023 | law.asu.edu

Rory Wheeler grew up on the Seneca Nation Territory in New York and learned the detriments many tribes experience—broken treaties and boarding school trauma. He realized having a law degree is how he can advocate and regain rights as citizens of sovereign governments. Rory is in his first year at Michigan State University College of Law. As a past participant of Pathway to Law in 2020, Rory encourages students to take advantage of this opportunity.

The application deadline for the 9th annual Native American Pathway to Law workshop has passed but if you’re interested in learning more about the program, visit https://law.asu.edu/pathway-to-law.

Rory is running for Director of Public Relations for the National Native American Law Students Association (NNALSA). If any NNALSA members are planning to attend the Federal Bar Association’s Indian Law Conference this April, he would greatly appreciate your support. Ja:göh, Rory!
