Robert Odawi Porter is Representing the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation in it’s effort to Restore Their Full Rights to Their Territory in Illinois

Mr. Porter (Seneca, Allegany Territory, Heron clan) shared: “I’m glad to be representing the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation in its effort to restore their full rights to their territory in Illinois wrongfully sold by the U.S. government in 1849. Very thankful for the support from the bipartisan leadership in both houses of Congress to re-introduce this important legislation.

Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES Ja:göh to Culinary Arts student Gao:wisa:s (Lena) Stevens (Onödowa’ga:’ from Cattaraugus Territory of the Beaver clan) of Gowanda Central School District, who recently earned one of five $1,000 Taste of Buffalo Scholarships. Lena is interning at Olympia in Gowanda and plans to attend the Niagara Culinary Institute in the fall.
