The Seneca Nation Executives and Tribal Council will be hosting public meetings for Seneca members as planned.
Our first compact was approved by a referendum vote in 2002 and we have had great success in improving the quality of life for Elders, Families, and our Youth.
The casino revenue we received beginning in 2003 has been instrumental in our ability to provide many new services and additional income for our Members. We have used our casino revenue to construct many new buildings, expand housing opportunities, create more jobs, support numerous events, address infrastructure, enhance our departments, create new services, provide additional income for Members and more.
Our current gaming compact expires this coming December and we have been at work addressing the language and terms that will be negotiated and once again be brought to our Seneca Nation Members for a referendum vote. In my former addresses I shared that we would be hosting public meetings and a schedule of dates, times and places have been arranged.
The development of our next gaming compact is vital in our ability to continue providing numerous services to our Members of all ages. We also realize that the negotiation language and terms are important to everyone.
