Buffalo, NY – The University at Buffalo Division of Athletics has announced additions to its facility operations staff. Rory Jimerson has been tabbed Director of Athletic Facilities and Game Operations.
A Western New York native, Jimerson (Seneca) comes to Buffalo from Western Carolina University where he spent the last five years as Director of Athletic Facilities and Game Operations.
At Western Carolina, he managed operations for 16 NCAA Division I sports including pregame set-up, postgame breakdown, working with visiting teams and officials and scheduling use of facilities. He also supervised capital projects and facilities staff.
Jimerson earned a masters of sports management degree from Western Carolina in 2018. While working on his degree, he spent time as an external affairs intern and then was the Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities and Game Operations before being promoted to director.
Jimerson is a 2016 graduate of SUNY Brockport with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and kinesiology.
