Cornell University’s American Indian Studies Program
Each spring, AIISP hosts Promising Futures, an outreach and recruitment program to encourage prospective Indigenous undergraduate students to apply to Cornell University. This day-long, in-person campus experience will introduce high school students to the Cornell admissions process, financial aid, the NYS Indian Aid application process, AIISP programming, student support services, and academic programs. Students will have the opportunity to learn about Cornell Indigenous student experiences in a panel led by AIISP ambassadors and meet faculty.
This year, Promising Futures will collaborate with the American Indian and Science and Engineering Students (AISES) Cornell chapter in hosting a Pre-College STEM Day enabling high school students to participate in AISES-led tours, information sessions, and fun activities.
They are looking to maximize participation and to reach as many perspective Indigenous, undergraduate students as possible. See flyer below for event details that will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024. Included is a QR code to the registration page.
