Alcoholism and drug addiction are bandages we face and deal with daily. Its a shame that these destructive elements are so readily available here. Once ensnared, it’s almost impossible to be released from the trap of addiction without help.
The Word of God says “Do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is and do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians 5:17-18). The Word also says “Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the Devil walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8).
God’s will is that we live sober, uninfluenced by intoxicating elements that destroy mind, body, and soul. (Titus 2:11-12). Jesus Christ, the Living Word, Creator and Sustainer of Life is the bondage breaker. HE IS ABLE TO SET YOU FREE because Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6, 8:32, 36). That freedom is found in His gospel message of Grace, Forgiveness, and Everlasting Life. Many have experienced this freedom and New Life.
