The Utilities Department – Cattaraugus Territory – is currently undertaking a big project in which we will be onsite at various locations throughout the area replacing the waterlines throughout the Territory. This will be a phased project and will encompass a large time frame. We will be starting in the Irving area in the summer months (and work our way through the territory to Indian Hill and smaller roads, as well as Gordon Garrow). This project entails engineers and techs from our contracting firms to visit various points onsite for data collection to actual construction and install of lines, etc. This project will help us replace the outdated and worn piping, and keep continual leaks from occurring.
We need your help by giving us patience and please do not be alarmed if there are construction workers on your areas, we will be digging but also restoring any disturbed areas. Please note that temporary water service interruptions should be expected, but we will notify residents in advance. We also ask that once you see us coming, if you could make sure your pets are secured so our crews are not at any safety risk.
