Tim Retires from 30+ year Career with Seneca Nation
A special retirement luncheon was held for Tim Mohawk, Onöndowa’ga:’, Otá:yö:nih clan, O’söagöh community, on Thursday, April 11, 2024.
Tim has been a Seneca Nation employee since the mid-1990s, starting in the Cattaraugus DPW, and spending time with the Utilities and Planning and Road Maintenance departments through the ‘90s and early 2000s.
In 2006, Tim became a Project Inspector in the Engineering Department and, the following year, was named Supervising Inspector, a role that he has held for the past 17 years.
Throughout his nearly three-decade-long career, Tim has played an important role in making sure buildings on the territories have remained safe for the Seneca people. From residences for Elders and Seneca families to government buildings.
That behind the scenes, and all too important, role in maintaining their safety is the responsibility that Tim has shared for many years.
