The Seneca Veterans Powwow was held at the Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino on July 20th and 21st. Indigenous dancers, singers and crafters from all over Turtle Island showcased their amazing talents in the hills of Ohi:yo’. The Powwow committee lined up various specials, two full days of contests, socials, a handrum contest and planned for over 50 vendors. An honor song celebrating the anniversary of Jim Thorpe’s longest run was also included. This was a record breaking year for dancer participation and attendance! Nya:wëh to all who attended and participated! We hope to see you all back next year!
