Seneca Nation Terminates Residential 40/40 Lease Agreement in City of Salamanca

The Seneca Nation has terminated a residential 40/40 Year Lease Agreement at 65 Swan Street in the City of Salamanca on the Allegany Territory. The lease termination results from ongoing illegal drug activity on the leased premises. The Seneca Nation will not tolerate prohibited activities which constitute a public nuisance and a violation of lease terms. Such activities further lead to deterioration and hazardous conditions . The Nation is committed to preserving its properties by reducing illegal drug activities and encampments in the City of Salamanca. The property will be assessed to determine if rebuilding or repair, and possibly demolition will be completed.

“Continuing to terminate leases due to blatant violations should send a clear message that the Seneca Nation will not tolerate these behaviors and will certainly take the necessary actions to continue to protect our elders, families, and children.,” said President Rickey L. Armstrong, Sr.
