The Onöhsagwë: de’ Cultural Center (OCC), is offering free classes for youth, and Elders
Due to circumstances beyond the Museum’s control, the October 25, 26, and 27 classes that were scheduled with Rosy Simas Sam Aros- Mitchell have been postponed until dates TBD. All other dates listed on the posters are still in effect (see below).
Family Heirlooms
Community callout for an upcoming family heirlooms exhibit. Throughout this process, community members can learn how to use basic museum care practices in order to preserve family heirlooms for generations to come. We would like to exhibit items including, but not limited to: baskets, moccasins, beadwork, cradleboards, old photographs, lacrosse sticks, silver brooches, water drums, paintings, corn husk dolls, rattles, etc.
Interested community members can also set up an appointment with the curator, Randee Spruce by calling 716-945-1760 OR send detailed descriptions and photos of their heirlooms to info@senecamuseum.org.
Winter Art Crawl
A Winter Art Crawl is scheduled for Saturday, November 16th & Saturday, November 23rd from 10am-4pm each day at the Onöhsagwë: de’ Cultural Center. CALL FOR VENDORS: Interested Vendors may contact a.trinidad@sni.org for more information.
