PUBLIC NOTICE: The Seneca Nation is currently accepting letters of intent for those interested in serving on the following board:
Seneca Nation Judicial Conference
2 – Allegany Territory | 2 – Cattaraugus Territory
Purpose:
- a) The Judicial Conference shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
- b) To oversee the administration of the Judicial budget and the administration of the Nation’s Judiciary system
- c) To review, investigate and sanction violations of Article 9 of the Judicial Law, the Code of Judicial Ethics, including the development and adoption of interpretive rules and regulations not inconsistent with law, and
- d) Recommend policy to the Nation’s Council on matters relating to the administration
of the Judicial System.
The Judicial Conference shall be comprised of five (5) members, as follows:
- Four (4) Individuals to be appointed by the Nation’s Council, two (2) from the Allegany Territory; and two (2) from the Cattaraugus Territory;
- One (1) Individual to be appointed by the President, the individual may be from either Territory.
The term of each Judicial Conference member shall be for two years from the date of their appointment.
Nation Councilors and Judges may not serve on the Judicial Conference.

ALLEGANY RIVER DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION (ARDC)
Four (4) Vacancies
Purpose:
The purpose of the ARDC is to establish a formal mechanism for coordination and implementation of joint planning activities between the Seneca Nation and the City of Salamanca with respect to (i) developing a joint long-range economic development strategy; (ii) identifying municipal service needs and capital improvements, including funding mechanisms for each; and (iii) conducting projects approved by the Nation and the City Council which will help to generate job growth; retain existing jobs; and stimulate commercial, industrial, and residential growth in the greater Allegany Territory including the City of Salamanca.
Qualifications:
Must reside, work or own/operate a business within the Nation’s Allegany Territory.
