Mr. Tomaszewski’s field biology class welcomed local medicine woman, Yolanda Smith, into their classroom. Yo shared her extensive knowledge of plants to make a plantain salve. She shared various medicinal plants and their properties that students found right outside the school. We appreciate Yo coming to share what she knows. This was a partnership with Ms. Tahamont and the Indigenous Language Grant Initiative.
