Seneca Language Teacher Support and Community Outreach would like to recognize our summer Seneca Leadership interns, Adam Clark and Gahsëni’de’ Hubbell. They have taken on the challenge of enhancing their Gano:nyök vocabulary, practicing Seneca verb conjugation, learning more about Seneca grammar, and developing a deeper understanding of Seneca language and culture. Their instructors are community outreach educators, Dagiyasë’–Kachine “Queenie” Lay, Dewata’se:’–Kelsey Lay, and Tiyë’s’ah–Allison Mongillo.

Gogë’ge:ga:’–She is a member of the Beaver Clan.
Gahsëni’de’ currently studies at Cornell University.
During her internship she has created resources, such as a short Seneca language lesson on summer terms and a lexicon of words/phrases collected when working with first-language speakers.
Nigë:dza’ah–Adam Clark (Pictured below)
Hogë’ge:ga:’–He is a member of the Beaver Clan.
Adam is a recent graduate of Salamanca High School.
During his internship he participated in a hide-tanning workshop and helped prepare splints for a basket-making class.
