In-Person Annuity Registration

Enrolled Seneca Nation members are required to register in person annually (per calendar year) in the Clerk’s office. At the end of the calendar year the Clerk’s office, as a courtesy, sends out reminder post cards and attempts to call unregistered members if time permits. The Clerk’s office is set up at community events throughout the year as a convenience to register as well. Clerk’s office staff gives registered members a pink copy of their registration once completed to supply if needed. It is ultimately the enrolled members’ responsibility to be sure that you are registered and that your current contact information is also on file.

Helpful tips:

  • Pick a date that you can remember so that you get into the habit of registering on that day every year. Some people pick their birthday.
  • Don’t wait until the end of the year as the weather is often unpredictable.
  • Register at the Fall Festival or other community events
  • The Clerk’s offices on both Territories are open every month on the Saturday of Council from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • If you are local and have a medical situation that prevents you from coming in to register, please call the Clerk’s office to set up a home visit. (The sooner the better.)
  • Getting a tribal enrollment certificate or identification card does not constitute registration.

If you miss the registration deadline checks are not retroactive, the funds stay in the Seneca Nations general fund. (a government’s primary operating fund, accounting for all financial resources except those required to be in another specialized fund.)

If you are not sure if you are registered, the Clerk’s office staff is more than happy to check for you, just give us a call at (716)945-1790 or (716)532-4900.
