Several Lake Shore faculty members spent three days participating in a hands-on watershed professional development workshop across the Seneca Nation Territories. Working alongside environmental partners, our educators engaged in field activities to analyze the energy-water nexus, exploring how regional power systems interconnect with local water systems. Teachers also trained in the Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience (MWEE) Framework, conducting land-based research that they will bring back directly into our science classrooms.
Our teachers are bringing home innovative, culturally informed approaches to help our environmental students connect science to daily life!
