August is ending and the Eden Corn Festival, the Chautauqua and Cattaraugus County Fairs and the Erie County Fair are memories! In a few days the NYS Fair begins and many of us will gather at the Indian Village to reconnect with friends and family. It’s good to renew friendships and make new memories. Also, in a few days our students will be returning to school or college. Pray for their success and safety.
In August Four Corners and Versailles UMC held their annual summer picnic. Due to the inclement weather the picnic was held in the Versailles Community Hall. Guests from the Hamburg UMC joined us and about 75 of us enjoyed communion, a great service and then lots of good food!
Please continue to pray for healing in our communities – whether it be spiritual, emotional, or physical healing. Please continue to pray for those in our communities who are affected by drug or alcohol abuse, those who are struggling with illness and those who are mourning the loss of a loved one. Pray for their families. We all need healing. Prayer is powerful and it can bring about astounding results.
You and your family are invited to join us at Four Corners for worship on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. We have coffee ready before and after the service! You will hear words and song that will carry you through the week. And don’t forget, the Seneca Hymn Singers meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. Peace to all.
