Brad Mohawk of Erie County Sheriff’s Office Receives Award

On Monday (August 24, 2026) Police Services Division Deputy Brad Mohawk of the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, Community Engagement Team was one of several Western New Yorkers to receive the America 250 Community Hero Award from Congressman Nick Langworthy. This initiative from Rep. Langworthy’s office honors those who serve the public without seeking recognition.

Since Joining the Erie County Sheriff’s Office in 2017, Deputy Mohawk has consistently gone above and beyond to strengthen trust and foster meaningful community engagement across Erie County. He has worked tirelessly to develop a productive relationship between the Erie County Sheriff’s Office and Seneca Nation of Indians. His achievements include the creation and launch of the Seneca Nation Tipline, providing community members with a trusted avenue to share information and enhance public safety through collaboration.
