Since it is International Women’s Day, it is very appropriate that the Tewaaraton Lacrosse League (TLL) introduce Claudia Jimerson as our next member of the Leadership Circle of Excellence. This Leadership Circle of Excellence will bring together a high-calibre group of individuals who each bring their own unique talents, special skills, experiences, and expertise that, when combined, offer unparalleled insights to help support the ultimate success of the league. The mandate of the Leadership Circle is to provide advice, insight, and ambassadorship.

When searching for someone that leads by example on and off the playing surface, Jimerson is the perfect mentor, advisor, and visionary.

As a player, Jimerson was a US Lacrosse high school ALL-American. She then went on to play for the State University of New York at Fredonia Blue Devils. While there, she was named a Division III US Lacrosse All-American Honourable Mention. In 2013, Jimerson’s leadership was on full display, when she was named captain of the Haudenosaunee National Women’s Team.

After her playing days, Jimerson became coach/ director of the Seneca Girls Lacrosse Club, and became a board member of the Haudenosaunee National Women’s Team (2014-15). Jimerson then became the Head Women’s Director of the Iroquois Nationals in 2020.

Professionally, Jimerson is currently Director of Talent Acquisition & Development at Seneca Gaming Corporation. A graduate of SUNY Fredonia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Service Administration, with a minor in Business Administration, she is also DDI Certified in Leadership Mirror Feedback and Coaching. Jimerson also has several other credentials, like the Heart Centred Leadership Facilitator Certification, Dale Carnegie Leadership Certification, NIGA Advanced Relationship Technology, NIGA Boosting Employee Activity and Excellence certifications, as well as Niagara University Hospitality Program Certification.

“The Tewaaraton Lacrosse League is excited to welcome Claudia to our Leadership Circle of Excellence,” said TLL founding member Vince Hunt. “Claudia has many years of both playing and contributing to the growth and development of women’s lacrosse. Claudia is a senior human resource executive, with 19 years of experience in professional development in the hospitality industry, and most recently has expanded into the area of team acquisition. She brings a wealth of knowledge in organizational development and training that can contribute to the foundation of building a positive environment that fosters learning and growth in all aspects of the league.”
