You may have heard of the term “epiphany” which means a moment when you suddenly feel that you understand, or suddenly become conscious of, something that is very important to you or a powerful religious experience. It’s an “a ha” moment!! Although we are accustomed to celebrating Christmas on one day, in Christian tradition the Christmas season lasts from sundown on December 24 (Christmas Eve) through Epiphany of the Lord (January 6). This is popularly referred to as “the twelve days of Christmas.” It is during these days that we realize and understand that God has come to us through the birth of Jesus Christ. At Four Corners we will remove our Christmas tree and other decorations from the church on January 7. The next celebration will be Easter which is Sunday, April 9, 2023.

The Seneca Hymn Singers are on their winter break and will begin regular rehearsals in March. If you are interested in joining them or require their service, please contact Janet “Beeda” Parker at 716-532-2478.

As the New Year begins why not try praying daily? Prayer is a private conversation that you have with the Creator when you request help or want to express gratitude. Some people say that meditation is a form of prayer. Pray for those in our communities who are mourning, are sick, are addicted to drugs or alcohol or are being abused. Also give thanks for the good things that the Creator gave us.

We hope that you will join us for our worship service on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. followed by refreshments in our fellowship hall. Peace.
