Agnes was born and raised on the Cattaraugus Territory of the Seneca Nation near Irving, New York. She will be awarded a SUNY Honorary Doctorate, Doctor of Humane Letters, from the University at Buffalo at the College of Arts and Sciences graduate ceremony on Friday, May 19th at 1pm. The ceremony will be held at the Center for the Arts, North Campus. The event will have open seating.
The honorary doctorate degree is the highest form of recognition offered by the State University of New York to persons of exceptional distinction.
