Easter Sunday was a special Sunday when we celebrated Jesus’ resurrection. It is the most joyous day of the Christian calendar. After the service we enjoyed a delicious brunch in the fellowship hall. It was good to visit with our friends and prepare for the day’s festivities. We now look forward to spring and new growth as the weather warms up.
May 10 is Mother’s Day when we honor mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts and other women in our life who have provided us with guidance and love. At the Four Corners church we remembered the mothers who have passed and were an influence on the growth of the church and our lives: Delphina Mt Pleasant, Mamie Williams, Mrs. Windsor Pierce, Ethel “Peggy” Bray, Frances Jemison, Eleanor Lavis, Lois Jimerson, Girlie John, Ruth Abrams, Lena Pierce, Lori Nephew and Alicia Jemison. We are thankful to them for sharing their lives and wisdom with us.
Please continue to pray for those in our community who are victims of domestic violence, child abuse, substance abuse, illness and loneliness. Also give thanks for the many blessings that we enjoy.
